The seat and back have been professionally reupholstered to the highest quality helps to enhance what is already an exceptional chair, all mechanically sound and in full working order. Please note this is a very substantial chair strong extremely heavy and just the epitome of ergonomic seating. The Gesture is designed as a new sitting experience, who have stopped looking at chairs and started looking at people. Understanding posture at work and how the body naturally moves caused Steelcase to ask, “could a chair act as a system, just like human body?” The Gesture arms move like the human arms, which allows the user to be supported in any position. Arms and shoulders remain supported when texting on a smartphone, typing on a tablet or keyboard. The Gesture chair back and seat move as a synchronised system, moving with each user to provide continuous and constant support. The back cradles the user no matter the posture of the user. This model has the wrap over fabric back and lumbar support. This chair is ready to go right back into service as an exceptional economical option to working from home. Collection is both free and welcome. Please note, due to industrial action Parcel force are not as reliable as they were before but they still claim to offer a service, albeit slower.
